Hudsonian Godwit Limosa haemastica
A Hudsonian Godwit Limosa haemastica was found on 8th April 2011 in a pre-breeding gathering consisting mainly of Icelandic Black-tailed Godwits Limosa l. islandica in Oegstgeest, The Netherlands being the first record for the country.
A Hudsonian godwit has been recorded in 1988 in north-east Scotland, with another one in east Yorkshire and in Devon three times between 1981 and 1983.
Two new species were accepted to the Norwegian Category A list from 2008. Both of these were Nearctic waders, namely a Hudsonian Godwit Limosa haemastica from Røstlandet on June 24th
