Little Stint Calidris minuta
As the main route during spring migration from Africa, where this small wader stays during winter, to the northern tundra’s,where it breeds, leads over the middle of the Mediterranean and farther east only small numbers reach the North Sea coast in May. They arrive in breeding plumage which they obtained during a partial moult in Africa.
