Peregrine Falco peregrinus calidus

A juvenile Peregrine with characteristics of the north Eurasian race calidus
was caught in the act of intensely observing a flock of Wigeon
Anas penelope

on 19th October 2010 in the Port of Rotterdam.
The same individual may have been seen a month earlier on 20th and 22nd September.

Christian Nunes pointed at this online photo of a
F. p. calidus
taken by Martin Rehnberg on Cyprus in 2004 of which Christian says:
'I find this bird to be quite comparable to your bird':

I thank both Christian Nunes & Michael Dossett for helping to identify this bird.
